How Spacecoast Business Can Help Your Charity
Charity, by definition, is “the act of benevolent giving.” Maybe, in simpler terms, it is giving with no strings attached or expectations of a return to the giver. A charitable organization depends upon the spirit of giving for its survival. There is something about human nature that is designed for the spirit of giving. Many understand that the only way to win is to help enough others win and those who understand this philosophy are the same ones who discover success. It is the time proven wisdom of “it is better to give than to receive.”
Most of us are familiar with the proverb, “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day; teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” The concept of the fisherman gave birth to our “Subscriptions for Causes” program. In order to help all of our local charities increase their ability to meet their financial goals and to empower not-for-profit organizations, Space Coast Business Media Group created this program. It is a concept that develops a win-win program for those who participate.
For every subscription to Spacecoast Business or SpaceCoast Living, SCB Media Group will donate a percentage to a charitable organization. Charitable organizations that adopt the program as a fundraiser can raise a substantial sum of money that is limited only by their work ethic, and it keeps on paying year after year with a residual renewal.
Here is how it works: For every subscription sold by an organization, SCB Media Group will donate $6.95 per subscription; for each 100 subscriptions, we will donate $1,000. An organization that inspires 50 of its volunteers to sell 20 subscriptions each can raise $10,000. Since we will do the follow-up the next year for renewals, the charity now has a residual donation. This is a campaign that is ongoing and has no time limit.
SCB will provide the organization with email links and website banners that allow the organization to use technology to quickly reach the masses. Each banner or link has a unique referral code for the organization conducting the fundraiser. This tells us where to send the donation. We accumulate subscriptions over a month and send a donation check each month.
People who wish to support an organization can go to either the organization’s website or our site at www.scbmarketing.com and complete the online subscription form, which includes a designation for the organization they wish to support.
The reader gets a quality product that will benefit them, while the organization receives the ongoing benefit in the form of donations.
